Executive Board

Olivia Boykin

President

Soror Olivia Boykin is a senior from Bowie, Maryland majoring in Medicine, Health, and Society with minors in Spanish and Sociology. In addition to being the 2023-2024 President of the Mu Rho Chapter, you may see her around campus as a Tour Guide, Calculus Tutor, head of the MOSAIC Executive Board, on stage with Vitality Dance Company, or as a research intern in the Bohannon Lab in the Department of Anesthesiology at VUMC studying the impact of severe burn injuries on immune function. Last year, Soror Boykin served as the Financial Secretary of Mu Rho. Olivia also serves as the 2024 Collegiate Member of the Southern Region Nominating Committee. A fun fact about Soror Boykin is that she is obsessed with Criminal Minds and Grey’s Anatomy!

Soror Hailee Hall

President 

Soror Hall is a senior from Dallas, Texas majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in musicology. In addition to serving as the President for the Mu Rho Chapter, you may see her around campus as Senior Advisor for the Vanderbilt NAACP, a Research Assistant in the Blind Lab, a member of the inaugural LeaDores leadership program, and as member of Vanderbilt’s chapter of the National Society for Black Women In Medicine. A fun fact about Soror Hall is that she has 45 unique playlists!

Soror Alesia McFadden

Financial Secretary 

Soror McFadden is a junior from Kansas City, MO majoring in Political Science and double minoring in African American Diaspora Studies and Korean Language and Culture on the Pre-Law Track. Apart from being Mu Rho’s valued 2025-2026 Financial Secretary, Soror McFadden has been apart of many clubs and organizations including serving as a committee member for Vanderbilt Student Government’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Member Engagement Chair of Melanated A Capella, and an ambassador for the Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center. Outside of her involvements on campus, Soror McFadden has been able to gain experience through internships focusing on Nonprofit Support and Human Resources.

Soror Chiya Gibson

Community Service Chair 

Soror Gibson is a junior from Middletown, Delaware pursuing a major in Medicine, Health, and Society with a minor in African American and Diaspora Studies on the pre-medical track. In addition to serving as the 2025-2026 Community Service Chair, she is involved with Volunteers for Health. She also worked as a Lab Assistant with VSVS so that the student volunteers could successfully teach hands-on science lessons to middle school students. A fun fact about Soror Gibson is that she is currently working on becoming a certified medical assistant!

Soror Madison Handsome

Sergeant at Arms

Soror Handsome is a junior from Brooklyn, New York majoring in Psychology and minoring in Legal Studies. Outside of serving as Mu Rho’s Sergeant-At-Arms for the 2025-2026 school year, Soror Handsome is the Chair of the African Student Union’s Annual Black Girl Fest and the Director of Programming for the National Pan-Hellenic Council. A fun fact about Soror Handsome is that she has worked at a law firm and plans to be an attorney!

Soror Aja Halbert

Vice President 

Soror Halbert is a senior from Chicago, Illinois majoring in Psychology and Medicine, Health and Society on the pre-med track. In addition to being the 2025-2026 Vice President of the Mu Rho Chapter, you may also see her as a student VUceptor for Visions, Outreach Chair for the Black Student Association, Internal Vice President of Vanderbilt NAACP, LiveVU Co-Chair of MOSAIC, and the 2025 Miss 1906 for the Kappa Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. A fun fact about Soror Halbert is that she has helped deliver a baby.

Soror Jaylin Ellison

Corresponding Secretary

Soror Ellison is a junior from Atlanta, Georgia, majoring in Cinema and Media Arts. In addition to serving as the 2025–2026 Corresponding Secretary of the Mu Rho Chapter, you may also see her as Co-Outreach Chair for the Black Student Association. She has gained valuable skills in design, marketing, and communications as a Corporate Communications Intern with Cox Enterprises, building on the experience she gained working with the Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Communications. A fun fact about Soror Ellison is that she recently studied abroad in Paris, retracing the artistic journey of Loïs Mailou Jones.

Soror Amiyah Turner

Social Action Chair 

Soror Turner is a senior from Silver Spring, Maryland majoring in MHS and CSET with a minor in psychology in the pre-NP track. Outside of serving as Mu Rho Social Action Chair for the 2025-2026 school year, Soror Turner is a member of the Women’s Lacrosse team, Community Service Head of the Pre-Health Society for Vanderbilt Student Athletes, and Vanderbilt Dancing Dores Captain. She gained valuable experience working with Roush Spine, Community Audiology Services, and Silver Spring ENT where she gained hands-on medical knowledge. A fun fact about Soror Turner is that she plans to go skydiving!.

Soror Sydney Brown

Chaplain 

Soror Brown is a senior from McKinney, Texas, double majoring in Computer Science and Cognitive Studies. In addition to serving as the 2025-2026 Chaplain of the Mu Rho Chapter, you can also find her as the Head Resident of Carmichael College, the President of the Vanderbilt NAACP, the Senior Advisor of NSBE, a member of Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity, or as a leader at All Campus Worship Night. A fun fact about Soror Brown is that she loves to randomly break into a British accent!​​​​

Soror Natasha Stepp

Soror Ariel Olaleye

Recording Secretary

Soror Olaleye is a senior from New Orleans, Louisiana majoring in Vocal Performance with a minor in Sociology. She is honored to be serving as 2025-2026 Recording Secretary for the Mu Rho Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Additionally; she is a Resident Advisor in Warren College. Beyond these roles, Soror Olaleye has been deeply involved in campus and community leadership throughout her undergraduate career. She is a 2024 Summer Keegan Travel Fellowship recipient, Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholar, and Sociology Research Lab Assistant under Professor Bianca Manago. Professionally she works as a Daycare Teacher at Kiddie Academy of Lake Norman and as a Nursery Worker at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church. A fun fact about Ariel Olaleye is that she sings opera!

Soror Mackenzie Culpepper

Parliamentarian

Soror Culpepper is a senior majoring in Medicine, Health, and Society with a minor in Business. For the 2025–2026 year, she is honored to serve as Parliamentarian of the Mu Rho Chapter. On campus, she showcases her leadership as Co-Captain of the Cross Country Team. Outside of campus, Soror Culpepper has gained valuable professional experience through finance internships with the City of Hoover Finance Department and with a Wealth Management Team at UBS. A fun fact about Mackenzie is that she can knit!

Soror Jordan King

Internal Audit Chair

Soror King is a senior studying Cognitive Studies. For the 2025–2026 year, she is honored to serve as Internal Audit Chair of the Mu Rho chapter. On campus, she takes on leadership roles as Co-Chair of Vanderbilt Programming Board’s Music Group Committee, Secretary of the Nilaja Amari African Dance Troupe, and a research assistant in the Communication and Language Lab. She has also gained valuable experience through internships with Warner Bros. Discovery, Paramount, and MACRO/M88, where she deepened her interest in entertainment law. A fun fact about Soror King is that she likes horror movies!
